The solo project of Eric Levi, formerly of the late 1970's band Shakin' Street. In 1992, he returned to his native Paris where he conceived, composed and performed the first Era album that sets gregorian chants to a backbeat. Much like early Enigma, Era has remained true to it's religious roots. This album was recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World studios and features a rhythm section manned by Phil Collins and his band members of the time, drummer Chester Thompson and the great bassist Lee Sklar.
