Lovée derrière son piano ou dans son rocking- chair, la dame en noir met en musique son journal intime, dans un style maniéré et dramatique, qui bouleverse cependant par ses pleins et ses déliés. De "Nantes" à "Göttingen", aucun fait biographique n'échappe à sa voix impudique.
