Amazon.ca Sugar Ray rose to semi-stardom in 1995 with a good-time rap metal album that featured goofball titles like "Scuzzboots" and "Danzig Needs a Hug." Apparently, fearing the label "comedy band," Sugar Ray struck back with Floored, which is more visceral and musically mature than their debut Lemonade and Brownies. The band still shows the influence of rap metal, but adds other tricks to its repertoire, including grunge, punk, power-pop, and even dancehall reggae.
