1960 sequel to the matinee hit "Hercules", what 9-year old boy back then didn't see this movie in the theater on a Saturday matinee. Steve Hercules (Mr. Universe) was the real deal, long before Arnold & the like, Reeves did his bodybuilding without the help of the drugs of today, to borrow the John Houseman phrase, he did it the old-fashioned way, he earned it naturally. One of the better 1060s "Sword & Sandal" Italy films with Reeves in the lead, attractive Sylva Koscina and former heavyweight boxer Primo Carnera. Still a likeable film with plenty of action.
