Amazon.ca Le quatrième album d’Isabelle Boulay, Mieux qu’ici-bas, place la chanteuse dans le club très sélect des interprètes qui ont réussi à s’imposer en France comme au Québec. Une impressionnante équipe l’entoure sur cet album, où l’on trouve notamment des textes signés Jean Fauque (Bashung) et Serge Lama, des musiques de Richard Cocciante, Patrick Bruel et France D’Amour. Tant de grands noms pourraient écraser la chanteuse, mais ce serait sans compter avec la forte personnalité et la sensibilité d’Isabelle Boulay. Les arrangements, parfois un peu trop chargés, laissent quand même à sa voix pure la place qui lui revient. La très jolie ballade “Jamais assez loin”, du surprenant tandem Louise Forestier et Zachary Richard, séduit avec ses accents country. Les efforts de cette imposante escouade de créateurs ont été récompensés. Mieux qu’ici-bas a obtenu un prix Victoire en France et un prix Félix au Québec.
