From Amazon On se demandait comment, après Les insomniaques s’amusent et surtout l’indispensable Quatre Saisons dans le désordre, Daniel Bélanger allait faire pour étonner et séduire à nouveau. Avec Rêver mieux, il fait plus : il innove sans se trahir, offrant un grand album de chanson française collé à son époque et pourtant complètement en dehors des modes. Côté musiques, Bélanger, à grand renfort d’échantillonnages, s’est complexifié, flirtant cette fois outrageusement avec l’électronique. Côté écriture, au contraire, ce rêveur un peu fou épure de plus en plus, touchant l’essentiel en quelques lignes de poésie qu’il ressasse dans un effet de répétition presque envoûtant, que ce soit dans "Chante encore", "Te quitter", "Tu tombes" et, surtout, "Dans un spoutnik" (Six milliards/Six milliards de solitudes/Six milliards ça fait beaucoup/De seuls ensemble).
