Différent car le multi-instrumentiste est passé cette fois au micro pour dire et chanter lui-même des textes arrachés au quotidien. Différent aussi parce que Yann Tiersen, plutôt solitaire jusqu'ici, s'est adjoint les services amicaux et chaleureux de plusieurs musiciens dont Married Monk et Olivier Mellano (violoniste chez Miossec et guitariste chez Dominique A) ; dès lors sa musique s'aventure parfois en eaux plus chaudes, plus rock même, entre basse, batterie, guitare et piano électriques (cf.
