Le chanteur a réuni des collaborateurs de renom, dont Charles Aznavour, Daniel Lavoie et Roger Tabra, et obtenu la permission d’interpréter "Le Plus Beau Concerto", un superbe titre inédit de Léo Ferré. Malgré cette équipe étoile, Pelletier n’a pas toujours su définir sa direction musicale et trouver les accompagnements qui mettent ses 16 pièces en valeur. "Je pars en voyage", d’Aznavour, périt sous des arrangements insipides et racoleurs alors qu’"Il fera toi" s’égare entre jazz et country. En revanche, lorsque l’interprète évite prouesses vocales et envolées mielleuses et privilégie des orchestrations équilibrées, il offre le meilleur de lui-même. La sobre et touchante "Marie rêve", l’efficace "Laisse brûler ta vie" et la solide "Je crois pourtant…" figurent parmi les beaux titres de son répertoire. --Nicolas Houle
