In 1977, in a Northern England town, eighteen year old Vince Smith (Michael Legge) works as a lowly clerk in a legal firm. He is painfully shy and can't bring himself to stand up to his overbearing boss (David Thewlis: The Big Lebowski) or to ask out his co-worker Joanna (Laura Fraser). One Christmas Day, Harold performs a party trick that astonishes the entire family.
