From cutting-edge director Bruce McDonald, this film tells the story of 15-year-old Tracey Berkowitz (Ellen Page) whois naked under a shower curtain at the back of a bus, looking for her little brother who thinks he's a dog. Tracey's journey leads us into the dark underbelly of the city, into the emotional cesspol of her home and the brutality of her high school. Her travels also put her in contact with the seedier inhabitans of the city. Like Lance (Max McCabe-Lokos), her would-be saviour who ultimately puts her life in jeopardy. The Tracey Fragments is a stirring tragic comey told in a dazzling pop-art fashion. The fil employs multi-frame editing to starling effect, pushing the boundaries of cinematic language to get inside the heart and mind of Tracey Berkowitz.
